We organise individual tastings in the late afternoon, accompanied by delicious hors d’oeuvres served with olive oil. To ensure organisation, please book in advance.
What does the experience consist of? We visit the owner of the olive grove directly on his organic land, take a short walk together and admire the olive trees that are already blossoming in summer. Our specialist, the owner, explains the different varieties of olive trees and which fruits are suitable for producing a quality olive oil or table olives to eat. We also show and explain the biological measures to be taken in case of insect infestation, to grow healthy fruit and to serve tasty organic olive oil on the table.
After the walk, we sit at the table and try to distinguish a good quality olive oil from a lesser quality one, savouring its smell and taste. Everything becomes ceremonial, we laugh, discuss happily, joke around and at the end, fresh hors d’oeuvres are served, where everyone can recognise which type of olive the food was prepared with.
More discussion, what flavour has now seasoned the food? Light fresh olive flavour or hazelnut flavour? All accompanied by a local wine to taste everything in good spirits.
